you have had anxiety pills prescribed 3 times in the past 3 years?

Are y'all guessing? Are y'all officers?

All 3 times they were taken for less than a month due to extreme situations. Those situations are documented in the file as well.

It might depend on the results of your medical and psychological exam prior to employment. Any condition that would require the prescription of anti-anxiety medications would almost certainly throw up red flags for any potential employer.

It is doubtful that you would get hired without several years free from whatever ails you.

No. If they find out about it, they will not consider you. It's true, it's an extremely high stress job that's difficult for even the most secure and emotionally ready person. Why would you even consider it if you are already having problems??
Consider another line of work.

amount of time that you take the pills won't be considered. The very fact that you needed them at all will be sufficent evidence for them.

Yes, you could lie. They may never find out. But I bet you won't pass the psych test or the lie detector test anyway.

If you are on anxiety medication or have been in the recent past, they will not look upon you as a good candidate for police work as your ability to handdle stress is obviously limited.

no, you must not have taken any psychological medication for at least 7 years prior to becoming a police officer. and you must offer up your medical records for proof.
