Beware!!!!!!! Here is another person like that "phd" person who was frequently posting their nonsense and who obviously has an agenda (and it isn't to help anyone but rather to vent their own biases). This is very inaccurate information-ECT is very safe and often highly effective for treatment resistant depression or specifically the melancholic type. It is not the first line treatment however and often will need to be repeated.
