It's been my experience that women like to hear it. Now if she's not getting it because she's just not that into you, then you need to find that out. You don't want to be come a pest or labeled a clingy freaky guy, would you?

Do the little, thoughtful things for her. Hang out with her outside of class, and she if she gets it then. It could also be that she is involved with someone else, and doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

if she doesn't get the sign, you need to change your approach. Put up a red flag, when you tell us females things that you wouldn't tell your friends we get that you want a chance for us to get to know each other. (tell her something personal)This has to work, if she still doesn't get it quit while you're ahead.
