How about artificial limbs. Bio-engineering is making it possible for a lot of Iraqi's who fell to Sadam Hussein's brutal torturers and American Doctors are helping them by giving them back their hands, legs, and arms....
Also, 20 years ago, if you were in a horrific car accident and your arm was cut off at the elbow, it would be a slim chance that it could be re-attached and functional. Today that has changed... Fingers can be re-attached and function normally with nerves reattched, ligaments, tendons and muscles....
It's a wonderful thing!!
