I teach Kindergarten in a poverty stricken area and would like to make a lasting imact on their lives. My passion is animal welfare. I teach the children how to properly care for animals and preach compassion. However, I have an empty feeling inside of me still. I feel like I should be doing more. I feel this way everyday. What can I do to satisfy that little voice inside of me telling me that I need to do more. I constantly think about how to help stop puppy mills, factory farming, pet over population, backyard abuse, and exotic bird smuggling. I am depressed and overwhelmed at the thought of all of these horrible daily events. When I die someday, I want to feel peace knowing that I had a purpose. I feel like my purpose is to concentrate on prevention. Any heart warming ideas?

To emailer, "HI"...Don't worry those kids are being fed all of those things on the tax payer's dollar. Your lack of compassion for the welfare of animals is repulsive. Go spend 1day of your life at a factory farm or a puppy mill and then send me a "reality check".
