I have unusually dark brown eyes (they appear black most of the time) and I am complimented on them on almost a daily basis- more than any other feature. This confuses me, because my whole life, I have thought that pretty eyes were green, blue, or hazel! Can brown eyes actually be pretty? Or is everyone just being nice to me? Opinions please!

It's exotic. Everywhere you see green, blue, brown. But really dark/almost black eyes are rare. My eyes go from stone grey to blue and I get a lot of compliments too.

I have brown eyes and in my opinion that is the most uninteresting eye color. Whenever i see people with different eye colors, i get so jealous and mumble something about my eyes looking poopy. I think the reason why you are complimented on your eyes is because they like the person behind the eyes. I mean, if a person is intriguing then everything else becomes intriguing as well.

Have you ever heard "Brown-Eyed Girl" by the Beach Boys? There has to be a reason that that song is soooo popular still! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, surely everyone that has complimented you can't all be wrong :)

Your eyes are the windows to your soul, not the color, you must have one pair of beautiful eye, or else not so many ppl noticed them, i doubt that total srangers conspire to pull a fast one on you, but don't let the compliments get to your head, use your gifts to help others, bring a smile to the weary, & a laughter to the sad

it depends on the person looking at the eyes, see somebody mite hate green eyes while another hates brown...its all that persons personalitie...i love brown eyes the best!!
