It may depend on the revision of Works it was created. If you can open just open the save window. Then resave with a different file name and select file type from the list. If you cannot open with Word try Notepad in accessories.

You might also be able to SAVE AS when in WORKS and save it as a DOC file which then can be opened in WORD.

Yes. You should be able to open the document in word and then save it as a word document.

I have had luck just copying and pasting from Works into Word. It can mess up the format either way you do it.
