Plants produce oxygen during photosynthesis.
They take in water and use energy from light to split the water into hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen is released. The hydrogen is kept.

All flora produce oxygen and eat carbon dioxide. some alga also use oxygen. No plant will grant adequate oxygen to help fish in an aquarium. also nedd some type of pump/aeration to grant dissolved oxygen. pretend flora do no longer do some thing yet sit down there.

they use solar energy to split water molecules into electrons, protons and oxygen. oxygen will be released while the electrons will be used to generate proton gradient, thus making ATP (energy).
