i wouldn't expect a whole lot. thunder bay is in the middle of nowhere. there is nowhere to go and nothing to do.

Yeah I live here. It is a university town and larger then some may think. The mall is the Intercity Mall (you can find their website on google) and it is TINY. They have AE, Garage, GAP, and a few other stores that teens shop at.
As for weather, it is usually about -5 or -6 this time of year so bring you winter jacket just in case.
You will have fun :)
And some weird Thunder Bay slang (I learned this when I moved here)
right= very, such as "that is right cool" or "That is right big!"
packsack=backpack (you will even say signs that say "leave your packsack with customer service please)
and a toque IS a toque... not like in toronto where it is always just a hat lol
