My almost 4 year old son just will not take a poop in the potty. During the day at school and at home he wears underwear and he does pretty well with them. He still has some accidents as far peeing his pants but for the most part he does pretty well. But at nap time he wears a pull up and he poops it everyday. He waits until he is in his room and he poops. I have tried everything that I can think of and my hubby is getting pretty upset that he does that. What Can I Do?????

Take away the pull up, he might be afraid of sitting on the big toilet, you could try having him sit backwards they feel more secure. and less like they are falling in.

you could also get a toilet ring to make the hole smaller and less intimidating.

I might have a solution for you. I'm a Nanny and the boy I watch really likes to poop in his pants too. Go to the store together buy him a toy what ever he likes that you can afford. save it back. Make a reward chart number 1-10 down the left side of paper tell him for every time he poops he get a star or sticker tell him that after 10 he will get his toy. I think it will work. I know it is bribing however I wouldn't go to work without them paying me. There must be an incentive.

Don't give him a pull up anymore. And make sure you keep telling him poopy goes in the potty now, because he is a big boy.
