OK, so im on this healthy diet. I'm 15 years old, 5'5, and i weight 130. I'm really trying to lose about 5 pounds by the end of april or even a little earlier. I attend high school and it's hard to go to school and watch everyone eat while im sitting there with a finger sized granola bar! Is there a way i can eat a chicken sandwich served at school and still lose weight?

Yes you can. How about have the chicken sandwich at school and then have veges for dinner. or just a small dinner.

At your age and height I wouldn't worry too much about weight. Just eat healthy and stay active.

Muscles rely on proteins to grow. Chicken is a good source of protein.. just try and avoid the chicken skin and ask to omit the mayonnaise.

Now.. you just need to exercise like an hour a day so that you are building muscle with all those new proteins that you are gonna love and the more muscle fibre you develop the more fat you metabolize because increased physical activity increases your metabolism.

If you diet without exercise, your bodies metabolic clock says it itself: "hey guys where is the food? Better hang on to as much fat as I can just in case things get worse"... and you metabolism actually slows down because of the lack of available nutrients.

They reckon that Vitamin B helps induce metabolism... so I think you should get yourself an exercise routine (group fitness if you need motivation) and take some vitamin B tablets and those 5 pounds you were after won't matter since you will look a whole lot sexier on account of the extra muscle mass. If you are female.. go for some sexy legs and butt and do lots of squats and lunges! If you are male, same thing goes as for chicks but you could also get to work on your upper body.

End of April isn't much time... so I suggest you do three weight training sessions a week and four or five aerobic sessions and see how you go.

First of all, you are perfect just the way you are. I've learned the more obsessed you are with your body the more stress you put on your self, which in turn makes some people (like myself) gain weight. I'm not saying eat what ever you want but concentrate on hobbies or something you enjoy doing. Which usually keeps you active and not thinking about weight or eating.
The best advice i can give is eat in SMALL portions about 5 times a day. Of course mixing mostly healthly foods like fruits and veggies. Also allow yourself a chicken sandwich at school once in a while.

You are at a great weight for your height, but if you really feel you need to lose, do it smart. Starving yourself will only cause your metabolism to slow down so that everything will be turned into to fat to keep you going. The best thing is to look at changing the one consistant high calorie or high fat thing you eat regularly and stop eating it. For example, I love bread pasta and potatoes Love my starchy carbs, but if I cut them out just for a week, I can lose 3 lbs right there
So the chicken sandwich, is it one of those breaded things on a bun. Just eat the chicken, or even better if they have any salad stuff, chop the chicken into the salad for a real entree.
Keep it healthy and remember you really are more than just the number on the scale.

Why do you want to lose weight?I wish I was 130 pounds. I am 5'3" and 115lbs. I have tried everything to gain weight and it is just not happening. I need to mention I am a 32 year old woman. I commend your healthy diet but your weight is perfect. There is nothing wrong with a little curves. Just try to maintain your weight as it is. You don't know how lucky you are. Celebrate your curves. You will find out when you get older that men/boys like a little meat on a woman's bones.

Yep; take out the bread and mayonnaise! Then you'll have a grilled chicken breast with lettuce and tomato! Perfectly healthy and low in calories and carbs....UNLESS it's a deep-fried patty...then don't go there girlfriend! lol

why don't you pack a healthy lunch? a nice turkey sandwich, pretzels, and water will fill you up. your weight is fine by the way, just excercise.
