My ex is engaged to a girl after online chatting for about a month and meeting her in RL for a couple of weeks (so all this happened in less than 2 mths), I was with him for almost 8 years, and I bet that she doesn't know that he is abusive and a compulsive liar, so I guess you should be careful, the girl does not know the real him, and is probably in love with the idea of him from their convesations on the net...

Well yeah you can, I'm talkin from experience here....depends on how much true tht person is to you....many pple disguise themselves n fool around, but when ur talkin you will findout for urself in sometime whether the other person is really a person or jus being a virtual lover for you! So you have to be careful but with that you have t have lots of trust on that person as well. I met my love on the internet but that ws jus destined t happpen i guess and we found we're soulmates! Fell in love jus in a months time and met after 6 months as well :) so well this clears another point tht meeting also becomes important after a certain point of time and it makes the bond more strong! No because you have feelings for a 'personality' created on the net. There are many instances of people fraudulantly representing themselves. You need to have a relationship where you can learn about eachother through experiences together. Not just fiction on the computer.

I chatted with a man on the net for a year before meeting him, i never thought it was possible to find love on internet, but yes it does happen, and just to prove it 4 years later we are still going strong, i was with my ex-husband for 14years and did not know nearly as much about him as i do my internet lover.

My sister met her husband of almost 1 year on the net... But he's not a very good man, and they constantly argue. I suppose some people have had great sucess, but the whole thing makes me nervous.

you can .. but you have to be careful .. they might not be what they seem to be on the net .. they could lie about everything ... but you could fall in love with them (if they were telling the truth) ... if you have webcam ... use it .. probably safer that way to see them first and then you could arrange a date to meet ... it'd be like love at first sight ...

yes you can. but what i feel most of the guys who comes on chat room are all big losers! in real they dont have the courage to approach the gal and also fear the rejection factor. so they come to chat room.try his luck on all the gals otu there if sombody respnds then there he is- the best loving guy in the universe (ofcourse there are lot out there whom had to be 'ignored'). you won get the oppurtunity to know him in real. after in love, ur meeting will be limited to once or twice in 2 or 3 months(for long distant relationship). so wat i feel is one have to be very careful while falling in love with som1 u meet online
