Yes. Miracles do occasionally occur, and sometimes one in this state recovers. You have all of eternity to be dead, it's a moral imperative to preserve life that has a chance, no matter how slim.

I'm not sure what question you're trying to ask; however, for myself, I would not want to live in a persistent vegetative state. If doctors felt that I was brain-dead, then I would hope that my family would allow my body to die as well, and would use any organs possible to help others to live a full life.

I have no idea what you are trying to ask here but, if it helps you any, if you find me in a persistent vegetative state, kill me. I don't really know what it feels like to be in such a state, if they feel anything at all but, the thought of being in such a state scares me.
