First, do not call yourself ugly not everyone sees what you see, and I think that you should let him know how you feel before it is too late, you already have the ball in your court, he is already your friend!

HINT...'joke' about it first...feel him out. If he gags at the thought of the two of you together...go with "i was just joking, I'm into ____ I met on msn". I know my son, who is short, is a good lookin kid. He is nice to most everyone. He is friends with some over weight girls. His remarks behind their backs to ME, his mother, are like this "mom, she is so nice, good friend but I'm into so and so...SHE IS HOT". Go get a health check up & get your doctors opinion on your weight. So many of us "feel fat". If your doctor tells you to lose XX amount, then do it. It might be a good way to have your "cute short friend" to "help you achieve your goal." That's what friends do! I know my son would do it if the girl he talks about asked him. (the chunky one...he already likes her personality) I am NOT intentionally being mean if that is how anyone choses to take it...I am letting you know what my 16yr old son has told me. I went thru this with his older brother too. His older bro dated HOT chicks (3), he lasted over a yr before the "hot chick" cheated on him all 3 times! My 16yr old is too shy to date! He merely crushes. Good luck!

Yes, because you'll never know and will worry forever about what could have happened with you as a couple. You will wonder why you couldn't tell him when he's off getting married to someone else. Maybe he would like to date you. Not every guy is just into looks.
