' Alternation of generations ' by it self is NOT an adaptation to the terrestrial habitat. This phenomenon is found in all plants.

Domination of the sporophytic generation and its great development and its adaptation to the land habitat is remarkable!

The gametophyte in these plants is greatly reduced and almost microscopic.

All land plants show this.
Starting with Pteridophytes and ending with Angiosperms.
