See the thing is... my aunt's wedding is at the end of this month and I already bought a dress. I thought it was nice until my mom said she thought it was too fancy, (the wedding is being held during the afternoon, just to let you know). I was devastated, My grandma bought it on her credit card for like... $150, and I don't know what to do. I also began to realize as I was looking for shoes and a wrap to go over the dress that it would be impossible to find good colors to match the dress! My Grandma LOVES it , she thinks it's perfect. I just don't know what to say or do. Any advice?

Wear the dress...It's better to be overdressed than under dressed.

In the end it's the brides decision on what she wears, but the fact that your grandmother spent so much on it makes her opinion a little more valuable that your moms. About $150 more valuable to be exact. Like it's been said, find a wrap and shoes that can be dyed and that will be set. If you mom still insists she doesn't like it, tell her to buy you a new dress. If she really cares about it that much, she'll do it. Otherwise it's your choice.

were the dress! Check shoes shops for shoes that you can dye take them to a shoe repair shop and get them dyed. Make sure you take the dress. What color is it anyway? Where do you live that it is still cold enough to need a wrap?

Your Grandma loves it...your Mom hates it....what do YOU think about it. If you like it and you feel comfortable wearing it then keep it. If not explain to Grandma that you will feel a little overdressed and take it back and get something else.
