I have never bought Hyundai before. My wife has a 2001 Accent which is pretty crap. Are the newer models worth the money. When you look at what you get for the price they look like a great deal but I am worried about reliability and quality. Any experiences will be greatly appreciated, especially from mechanics etc.

Reliable, hell yes, ranked #7 our of 36 brands by consumer reports...higher then any Euro or US brand. Quality, hell yes, ranked #3 by JD Power...higher then Toyota even. As for the Tiburon, I've never driven it but it has been popular for awhile. It is a sporty car, not much of a sports car since its not very powerful or fast. There aren't many sporty cars in its class unless you count the Civic coupe as being sporty or want one of the GM brand 2 seaters.

i work as a hyundai mechanic and they are a very reliable car now. the tiburon is a nice sporty car that drives well.

I would say no. It is a pretty car, my girlfriend has one and it isn't fast..... at all. And older Hyundai's have lots of problems. I think no one has had one long enough to have any problems from a Tiburon yet. After all they haven't been on the market that long.

I have had my 05 Tiburon GT since April of 05 and the only problem I had was the sunroof messed up. I took it to the dealer, warranty covered it but they said someone put a penny on the track. :( Lol, other than that I haven't had any problems. I love my car!
