Yes, I had an imaginary friend when I was growing up...
The friend never just left....
I had to send it away....
I do still have to send it away...
I feel like there was a spiritual significance to it...because it still revisits me now...
I find it asking me personal questions about my thoughts, emotions, or feelings....
I have learned that that isn't a safe "thing"....
I also had an experience with the "friend" using the spirit realm when I was "vulnerable"
Glad to help you more if you need it, my info is available for contact...

OK the imaginary friends go away when new things come into your life. I didn't have a friend but made hand characters who i would chat too. As life got busier i chatted with them less, until i stopped. Nine i think. At family get togethers i am reminded of this and they can still come out to amuse. I was a very busy child and it filled the gap when my brain was not busy

When I was 11 I had an imaginary, pink pet elephant named Bobo that I walked on the end of a stick to school every morning. Bobo was significant to me because I was very alone (my friends had already begun doing drugs and drinking and I was no longer part of their crowd because I didn't want to drink or do drugs) and my parents were in the middle of a divorce. Bobo made me feel a little less scared and a little less alone on my 1 mile walk to school every morning. I felt "protected" by him.

Nope, no imaginary friend.
But I do know God was with me when I was a kid. I felt him there. I just knew. I prayed to him every night. He heard me, I know he did. In fact I was a fallen away Christian and he brought me back by an answered prayer I had prayed to him as a kid. The prayer was about when I was married. It amazed me. It was REAL and I now it was from God when this prayer was answered. I got my butt back in church then.
My mom was into the new age thing. Reincarnation ghosts, psychics. I never did believe in it . I just knew it wasn't right. Not sure why, just a feeling.

Imaginary friend...
Well, I didn't have an imaginary childhood friend but my ex wife did - hers' lived in a licorice box.
She told me that as a young child she felt quite friendless and that on some days her imaginary friend was the only friend she had out in the school yard... That's rather sad, isn't it?
But, she's grown up to be a marvelous woman and if I have anything to do with it, she'll NEVER-EVER feel friendless again.
Thanks for reminding me to send her an e-mail.

You know my fake friend name was shrimp, LOL I have no clue why? But I think when Children get bored they make up imganiary friends! Like my brother and his friends wouldn't let me play with them when I was little so I made up Shrimp! He was just a person I would talk about, and I think I just got lonely until I was 4 until a girl named Brandi moved in the down the block! So yeah that's my imgainary friend! And I gave Shrimp up when I met Brandi and I told him I have a real friend! LOL hope that helps!

I had an imaginary friend who helped me know where to go in a store - I always got so lost, so I pretended I had help.
She went away when I got bigger - when one gets bigger the store gets smaller - less confusion - better sense of direction emerges!
:)
BTW: She had no name. *shrugs* Weird, huh?

Yes I did. when innocence is lost the imaginary friend disappears.
Was this an imaginary friend or a real friend. Who was with me in my spiritual upbringing.
