Is there another answer format where I can ask and answer questions where people aren't so bent on reporting others? It's only opinions, why can't we be a little more FORGIVING of others?

I have had to learn no to get so offended and take things personal when someone goes against your opinion don't view it as a personal attack simply view it as their opinion.
I have learned to forgive it is very renewing and rewarding and I feel like the weight of my bitterness has been taking off my shoulders and you are so right it is only opinions no more no less there have been some on this site that have been sarcastic and hostile but there are also others who care and give good counsel on this site and want to make a difference for God and others. Why offend in the first place? There is always a friendly way of doing things. After all, this is a Religion & Spirituality Section. We are supposed to be good people. Models of the religion we belong to. I am not aware of a religion that teaches its followers to offend people. Do you?

1) Never easily give offense.
2) Never easily take offense.

Because many people are only open-minded to their own ideas and stuff they agree with and not everything else that goes against their ideas or that they disagree with.
