Visit a craft store and load up on paint, pipecleaners, glitter glue, stickers, wooden cut-outs, craft foam, resin figurines to paint, etc. etc.

Check out FamilyFun.com for some great craft and game ideas!

Spend a day baking cookies! Set out frostings, candies, sprinkles, etc and let the kids go nuts!

At the end of the week, I always make a game out of cleaning the house! I set the oven timer for 5 or 10 minutes and give them a "contest"....such as giving them each a plastic bag and telling them that whomever picks up the most toys wins a piece of candy. You can also have "dusting contests", etc! It's a great way to clean-up the mess that ensues when kids are home all week!

Teach them the Swiffer dance! Get somew dusters and show them what spring cleaning is! They will love doing their own rooms! Take down the screens and scrub them in the tub! Have contests to see who vacuums the best! Show them how to fold clean linens! I didn't learn to fold a fitted sheet until I was thirty! Rent movies! Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah is a great family movie! Download AdAware and see what crap they have attracted to your computer! Defrag the drive! Watch Oprah together! Wash the dog! The windows! Watch Cleen Sweep with Neecie and get organized! Shovel the snow! Plant seeds! Plan your summer vacation! Go over those tough spots on the report card and get ready to blast through the last part of the school year and pull those grades up by the bootstraps! Break out the old pictures and start a new scrapbook! Take lots of pictures and start a file of each vacation! Plan menus for the week and go shopping then have them prepare dinner, each with a supervisory role; prep, cooking and cleanup!
Enjoy your family and the little things! One of the greatest birthdays I had when my Mom got divorced and we were penniless was that she invited my best friend over and we made real bread from scratch. I still have the pictures of the flour covered eight year olds!

I went to wal mart and bought my children a bunch of those summer toys, like water balloons, some rocket launchers, tee ball, etc.......... Just inexpensive things and they have been outside almost this entire time playing with all of these things just having a blast. I also took them to get ice cream a couple of times. They seem to be enjoying themselves with all of that stuff so far. I feel bad because Im stuck here at home for the most part and cant do anything too strenuous because of high risk pregnancy and my husband works out of state and isnt here for their spring break to do anything with them. That is the best I could come up with for them.

Is there anyone you can visit? I know you said "stuck at home" but I mention it because I also have kids who are 3, 5, and 7, and we are using the break to visit some friends who live a couple hours away for a couple days, leaving Daddy here to hold down the fort and bring home the bacon :)

A fun thing I remember doing with my mom when I was little was baking. The cool thing is that they can also learn at the same time. Another thing is drag out some art supplies and have your children create something together. For example, have them tell a story, or make a collage of their favorite things, play games, etc. Find a picture of the three of them and have them decorate a picture frame and give it to their dad. That way it is extra special. I hope this helps. Good luck and have fun.

We're doing the spring break thing here right now. We went to the county park (playground) yesterday for several hours. Then we walked the nature trail that circles the park. We came home and all got showers/baths then took a nap together cuz we were WORE out. lol

I took them grocery shopping with me as well. Usually I do it while they are at school to avoid cookie grabbing and whining. It was a treat for them to pick out their own cookies and juice.

We also did a pic nic in the back yard. Nothing fancy, just pb&j, chips and dip on a blanket.

Enjoy your time together!
God bless

Ever tried board games? They are fun to play for all ages. Some will be highly entertaining and suitable for your children age range. You will be amazed how times fly...

Another amazing activity we like to do is cast our own puppets show. A year ago I have bought 5 hand puppets; they are still favorite toys for me and both my 3.5 and 6 years old. Hand puppets are easy to manage even for the little ones.
