Hey, my bf lives 3000 miles away from me.
He has VOIP phone, free long distance, so we can talk as much as we want and it's included in his internet. I just call on my cell and ring twice, hang up, and he'll call me back.
We meet in MSN a lot and chat there, and then on the phone also.
If he doesn't have that, there are programs you can download to talk over the internet... Yahoo messenger has a voice chatting system, and so does MSN... with MSN you can use your webcam so you can see AND hear eachother. It's kind of nice.
So ... when I'm here in California, we're on the phone w/ VOIP, or online in MSN... rarely with the webcam though... the VOIP comes in really handy... and then ... I fly back to Toronto... back and forth... it's a little hard. Talk about commuting.
Or there's something called Skype... same deal as the MSN voice chatting but you both have to have THAT program...
But! Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder... or not... if you really love him and he you... you guys can find a way to work it out that you talk more... a broken phone is no excuse... and chatting now and again on MySpace just isn't going to cut it.
Otherwise... you didn't say how long youve been w/him? Or even if you're together... but... maybe he needs his space? Chatting all the time can be rather taxing...
Especially if you're young and in college and just want to frolic with all the homies or whatever these young folk do nowadays...
It might just be time to move on though...
I'm a firm believer that even if you find who you want to be with, and they're so perfect and they're this and they're that BUT!!.... if there's a but, then the timing is wrong, and maybe you will come together later on when you're both ready...and the timing is "right".
Good luck to you, whatever happens.
Take it easy,
miR :)

i got to be honest, long distance relationship are hard enough as it is, but the fact that yall can't verbally and vocally communicate doesn't sound good. physical contact is important especially if you are young. i would recommend not holding yourself back because of this guy. don't close the doors to opportunities around you. you never know who you'll meet. and physical chemistry is an important part of a relationship.
