It depends on where you go to make your jump. On average, a tandem skydive (attached to an instructor via a harness) is going to cost somewhere between 150 and 200 dollars, and an extra hundred or so if you want a video of it.

If you want to get certified through the Accelerated FreeFall (AFF) program, that is going to cost between 1200 and 2000.

Next step- buy a main parachute, reserve parachute, rig, Automatic Activation Device (AAD), altimeter, helmet, goggles, jumpsuit, etc etc etc. This will run you between 1500 and 5000 dollars depending on whether or not you buy it used or new.

Yes, it is an expensive sport, but it is totally worth it!
