I've been single myself for 24 years now and learned something from a friend; he told me this little story that made me start to think..

There was a king that had two servants that he wanted to give $3 to each. The first servent took the $3 and invested in something and found a way to make it into $9 and multiply it somehow. The second servent took that $3 and barried it and sat on it and prayed and hoped that it would multiply on its own.

What i understood from this story is, I myself have been shy , unconfident of myself both personally and around others. and all i did was prayed, hoped, asked others how they were doing it but never did i show action. I mean i tried for a few days then said to myself that im not like that and i cant do it.

This story opened up my mind and made me think, I cant be like this forever, i have been sitting on myself thinking that im unconfident and im not good enough and i have to trow myself in and gamble with my self untill I make it.

hey i just want to thank you so much for sharing that story! i never knew someone's Question would help Me out so much with like All my answers! lol. that is a really good way to put things and think of things. i myself am shy and lack confidence as well when it comes to dating and such. but i just figured i will grow out of it eventually and just hope that someone right for me will come my way, as you did.. but i guess if you really want something you Have to Work at it don't ya.. which is hard.. but in the end it pays off. this story really is kinda depressing to me, haha, as i just Wish i could just be myself and that some day my prince will come.. because don't we all just wish that. but dang, this story really helped open my eyes... and i know that i have lost A LOT and i have many regrets due to being shy and i blamed myself.. and basically i was the most to blame, even though i did try, but i didn't try Hard Enough. thanks for the story and help with the Push forward in my life! i will definitely take it to heart! and i hope you find that someone perfect for you soon.. because you defniitely deserve it! and i'm sure that you will! :) best wishes to you!! you sound like an amazing guy -- no need to lack confidence or be shy.. because when you do, think of all those many people missing out on experiencing that greatness and all you have to offer them in touching their lives.

Since your a bloke, your in a lot of trouble. The women have it easy you see. They just have to sit around and wait and if they are good looking enough, some poor wanker will get her. The men, however, have to "go out and get" so to speak. Don't fear rejection. Just about every man has been rejected plenty. The true rate of rejection for average men is 4 out of 5 times. That gives you a probability of only 20% of scoring the phone number. Shyness is never good. Don't be looking back in 50 years in the old folks home about all the missed opportunities.

Good point. I am much the same way. The waiting for them to come to you doesnt work most of the time. It does in the bars but those dont seem to ever work out too well. Not glad you got the same problem I do, but glad I am not the only one dealing with it
