If it was a mugger or someone with a knife or something, I would certainly do anything I had to. But if it's just some other normal young dude, and we get in a scrap at a party or something, I say a kick in the nuts breaks the unwritten code.

I guess that is the thing....I'm not "some other normal young dude" anymore, I'm up there in the 40s so....I'm not exactly scrapping for fights anymore.

So no, if someone attacks me, nothing is off-limits, because in most circumstances, you never even *see* if there's a weapon before it gets used (ditto with some two-on-one scenarios, where one attacks and the other joins in from behind). But that is just because I don't pick fights anymore, neither my health nor my legal standing will permit it. So yeah, if I am attacked, you damn skippy I am going to fight dirty and walk away from it by *any means necessary*.

Really....last time I "fought fair" or thought in terms of an "unwritten code", it was late in high school, I was defending my kid sister from being attacked by a bunch of trailer park trash, and I got *stomped* myself for my trouble because my own family *would not* stand up for me like I did for them. Getting dogpiled, to the point of having hairline fractures on your jaw and skull is *not* my idea of fun. Multiple concussions suck.

So *screw fair*. Fair doesn't exist outside of a sport venue, where folks are paid to abide by rules and weight classes. If you hit me you can expect me to snap hard enough to cost you at least one eye *and* one testicle if not both, *of both*.

Sorry if that offends you young, studly wannabe knights, but once you've been maimed over honor, you will understand.

Thanks for your time.

Yes it is.

See in a street fight if you kick someone in the balls the ref will call a foul and you will be sent to the penalty box for one minuite.

During which time the muggers and or your opponent will be able to have thier way with your girlfriend.

If you do this three times the ref gives him a free penalty kick where you have to lay down on the street and he can soccer kick your nuts.

This is as opposed to in the ring where there are no rules.
People in the ring generally don't do it because then they dont want it done to them and they want to get laid by one or more of the ring girls later.

There are no rules in real street fighting. Kicking people in the nuts is child's play compared to what else you could do...it's only a temporary injury that he'll get over within a few minutes. However, some people consider it a matter of honor, as you mention.

My opinion: if it is a matter of legitimate self-defense and you feel genuinely threatened, then you need to do what you need to do in order to protect yourself. However, if it's just a matter of posturing, trash talk, testosterone and ego that gets out of hand; then "no", it's not justified.

Kicking in the balls is only ok when: You are out numbered, you have a good cause(like if somebody was mugging an old lady i would kick them in the balls, or if they were raping somebody), if the person has a knife or weapon or bomb,or if you are skinny and weak and the person wants to fight you for no reason and they are big and strong. It is not ok when: the reason for the fight is stupid, the fight is one on one, the person is as able bodied as you, you are not defending anyone. I think that i have covered most of it, did you know that hitting a person in the balls to hard could put a person into shock and possibly kill them? I hoped that i have helped.......maybe i should write a book called"When its ok to kick somebody in the nads"

Well, it all depends on the situation. If the person attacking you is really aiming at killing you or really giving you a life threatening situation, then I see fit that if you must in order to protect yourself you can go ahead and do such as kick to the groin. But, I always believe that the better off you can be preventing the situation from happening , the better. Whenever I get mad standing I sit, and whenever I get mad sitting, I stand. If it turns to an all out brawl, try to take it down with a wrist lock or something, but if not, then go all out with that , if you must.

Let me tell you something.
A fight is a willing physical clash of two or more egos. I always choose to not fight because I respect myself and other people too much to do this. Violence begets violence. In the path of war thorny bushes grow. -Sun Tzu / The Art of War. How do you know that the guy at the party you are "scraping" with doesn't have a gun at home, what if you beat him and he is so embarrassed that he decides to extract revenge on you?
A self-defense situation is when a victim is attacked against their will. In a self defense situation anything goes.

Maybe for young guys...that was off limits when I was young, not so much an honor thing as no one wants a kick in the sack. Besides it was so much more fun to pummel your opponent's face so he got to wear it for a while.

Today, I'm 50+, and if I am attacked-if I can, I will kick your pecker so hard it will come out your butthole, right before I break your knee. Call me cowardly from your hospital bed.

Im glad so many other guys say that kicking in the groin is off limits on the street. Because you see, if anyone wants to fight me outside of the training hall, I have to assume that they intend to take my life, or disable me in order to do damages to my loved ones or personal property.

I dont intend to let that happen, and I am prepared to do everything in my power to prevent it. That includes removing eyes, and yes, kicking in the grion. There is no code, written or otherwise.

I'm a peace loving guy, so if someone wants to hit me it's definitely self-defense therefore my attacker should never expect any chivalry. How do I know if beat the guy in a "fair" fight he's not going to go to his car and come back with a gun? What I'm going to do his take an attacker out as quickly as possible and then get the hell out of there.

Every time I have tried to "Take it Easy" on someone in this
circumstance they seem to fight dirtier and dirtier.

I suggest you follow the same code of ethics as you asume you opponent is.

Fair is Fair
