NOT! IF you go around regulating every substance on earth then where haver our freedoms gone? Most kids drinking a lot of sodas are probably getting them at home. The same place kids get cigarettes and beer.

I dont think it should be regulated, that would cost the tax payers too much money. I do agree that people are exposed to caffiene much too early in their lives. Schools and parents should be responsible for limiting childrens caffiene intake. Schools should not supply these drinks anywhere on their property.
People who think they cant live without caffiene have probably never really tried.
I love my 2 cups of coffee a day but I know I dont need it because I went my first 30 years without it.

I do not think caffeinated beverages should have an age restriction of 18.
Parents and adults should be concerned if their kids OD on it.
I use to dip my cookies in my granpas coffee when I was a kid.
It was never made taboo.
What we need to do is keep an eye on the sugar that goes in it as well as the cream.
Quiet often a food or substance gets a bad rap for what it is served with.
For example eggs a whole food get ignored in some diets.
Now if you factor frying the eggs adding bacon or sausage, toast butter jam etc. the problem starts to reveal itself.
So although excess anything can be bad for you.
When is the last time you heard of 100,000's of people dying yearly due to coffee addiction.
The same does not hold true for cigarettes or sugar related problems like diabetes and it associated illnesses.

It is addicting....because it is so darn good!
But it shouldn't be regulated-I have been drinking coffee since I was 2.....and that was 16 years ago......and I personally love it.
A lot of people do not like coffee, or soda but I understand about the young kids. If you have small children and don't want them bouncing off the walls, then limit the caffeine that they consume. But treating it like drugs is just saying that it is another things that kids are not supposed to do-and it going to make them want it more, just like cigarettes.....if it is off limits, kids want it.

It can be deadly, if you drink alot of it. You can become addicted upon sodas and have headaches if your not drinking any caffine. It is a drug..... But if you drink about 1 can or bottle of soda(20oz) it won't harm you. If you drank a 6 pack a day of caffinated soda, it may. But i don't think many kids, will drink that much soda, i'm a teen, and i don't drink that much, of it, because i know what it can do!

Parents should regulate what small children drink in excess when it comes to caffeinated beverages, but I don't think we should have those kinds of restrictions. That would be going overboard.
If small children are starting to drink caffeine too early, their parents aren't being responsible.
