One trick is to drink water when you feel hungry. Half the time you feel hunger you are actually thirsty. If you don't like plain water, crystal lite makes individual packets for bottled water to flavor them. Fruit2O is also a sugar-free, calorie-free water that tastes good.
Another thing to do is to have a healthy snack that has a high water content--like grapes or oranges. Carrot sticks and apples also used to help me because of the high fiber content.
Don't starve yourself! Eating 5-6 small meals a day is better than 3 large ones because it keeps your metabolism going.
I don't advise chewing gum because it puts air in your stomach and makes you more hungry, but it helps some people. Good luck!!

there are certain things in your diet that are VERY specific to weight loss and gain...
Ear more:olives, olive oil, onions, garlic, green peppers, red peppers, tuna packed in olive oil, sardines, fish, any type of seafood you enjoy, even if it's "breaded", all types of mussels, clams, and crab you can afford..mussels are really inexpensive and wonderful with whole wheat pasta and broccoli in tomato sauce, eat more yams, cauliflower, spinach, tomatos, and for something salty either olives or nuts....preferably sunflower seeds, almonds or walnuts....cantaloupe, whole oat oatmeal, splurge one day a week one something you really love as a vacation...for example pizza/hamburgers........then go back to lean
Eat less: processed food, white bread, donuts, muffins, crackers, cheese, sweet cereals, pretzels, chps, sugar, all sweets and junk...................
if you keep something salty in the fridge....pickles, olives, beets...you won't go for the crummy alternatives...........
