Me and my girlfriend are moving out of our flat because we cant stand the noise of our neighbours any more. We tried everything including calling the council on them but they keep waking us up in the night with loud music, DIY home improvements etc.
I want to leave them with a little "present" to say how much we will miss them.
Any suggestions?

Two approaches

Rather than stooping to their level, leave in such a way that when they 'grow up' they will realise that you had the last laugh.
So.......leave knowing that you have class and the option to move on rather than to stay in what they have turned into the gutter.

By the way, don't you know anyone like them who may want somewhere to rent? You could recommend your flat. Now there's a taste of their own mediine ;)
Bottom line
Do not do anything that can get YOU in trouble with the law.
Life is funny. When you decide to take matters into your own hands YOU may be the one to suffer the humiliation of having to go to Court etc. not them !

well, you can flatten tires, cut the cable the house I had bad neighbours and I called the police many of times. If you haven't called the cops yet call them and make you a cup of coffee and enjoy the show.good luck

Knock on his door and then clock him on the side of his head and make sure you make full contact with his skull right above his ear, he should hear the sound of jet engines for a looong time and for optimal results do it at night time before he goes to bed, not only will he have a ringing noise he will have to deal with his swollen head. Problem Solved.

The fact that youre moving is very wise. Dont worry yourself to try to get back at them, youre leaving that apartment- consider this episode closed and be happy. bettyk

If you can access any vents they may have, a fresh fish works wonders. It won't start stinking until after you have moved out, so they won't be able to prove it was you.

If you are leaving you are getting away from the problem. Sometimes you can do more by doing nothing. Your conscious will be clear when you leave will theirs?

Poison their lawn.
It dies for ages, and looks terrible, but eventually grows back.
Fill up a watergun with roundup or something.

do you live in a winter state/province? if so, a good bucket of water on their front porch while it's still cold enough outside at night time to freeze does the trick.

do what i did throw rotten old food from the frige from the balcony and my bedroom haaaa i used to throw tones of chewed gum on their doorstep too
