Hello, I recently quit smoking about a week ago, and im also trying to lose weight, i was doing really good till i quit smoking. Lost 13 pounds and have more to go. But latley I cannot quit eating, and mostly sugar, i crave it like a smoke, and the pain of wanting junk wont go away till i eat it. I know i have to eat better, im still working out, but how can i curve the junkfood plus nicotine, all in one..feels like im going through hell.

I recently watched a movie on this and this is normal. Craving food (eg chocolate) and other things while you are quiting from smoking is usual. From what I learned from it, is that you need something else to give you the boost or "high" or just something in your mouth to keep you occupied. Eventually this will go away with time so don't worry about it for the time. Eating more sugar is not as bad for you as smoking is.

I can feel your pain... but look just start inventing alot kinds of food .. for example..fruit salad....just eat healthy and when the craving starts just eat a fruit .... and about smoking,,just ignore the crave and continue with your life

Your question is complex but solvable. You need to see a psychologist, who can help you through these cravings, and come up with techniques to minimise them and convert them into positive behaviours. You've done well so far, get help to make the rest of the journey.

It seems your body is using junk food in place of smoking.
