Alright, we're both in high school, and we're friends. I really like her a lot, and I think she likes me, but I'm not sure. How can I (literally) get closer to her? And I don't mean in a perverted sense...specific examples would be nice. Thanks in advance!

Some of my favorites (for both guys and girls):
"Oh, you have something on your face. Right there. No. You missed it. No. Noooo.... Here. Just let me get it...." There doesn't have to be anything there. It just gives you an excuse to touch their face.
Point out a specific spot on their body that you like (in a NOT perverted sense, of course). I told my guy I liked the little mole on his ear and therefore had to show him where it was. It was nice to be right up by him.
If you're comfortable with a hug or a kiss on the cheek, try it in a congratulatory sense, or on an occasion.
Pretend your hands are cold and cup hers like you're trying to get warm. AMAZING hand-holding excuse- that worked for me!!

Step 1 Ask if you guys can hold hands
Step 2, 3, 4 etc. will follow, if she feels the same way about you. My dad used to say: once a guy offers his hand to hold.... very soon he will hand you his diploma. We girls looked at each other, twirled our eyes to the heavens and somewhat gave an embarrassed giggle... this was our sex talk with our dad- very concise....... as we later found out.

If you guys are friends already, its so much easier to have a chance to ask her out. You can just tell her already whenever you feel like you are ready. It wont be weird for you to ask her out because you already know her.

ok, one thing boys don't seem to understand is talking.
talk to her, i know it might be a bit nerve racking but just tell her you like her. but if by "getting closer" to her you mean you just want to have sex with her, then you should be up front about that too.

talk to her, both outside of school - first - and in school. show her that you are interested....invite her over to talk, hang out....get to know what her favorite flower is, candy, food, then give/make it for her. show effort in wanting to know more about her. make sure she gets that you're into her!!
