can you cross pollinate a rose bush and a marijuana plant?

Well, KB, you could cross pollinate the two plants. That is you could take pollen from the marijuana plant and place it on the female parts of a rose flower. That is what cross pollination means, but the cross wouldn't produce any seed or a new plant because they are different species of plants and the chromosomes wouldn't pair up, so you would just be wasting your time. It might be nice if you could and get marijuana that smelled like a rose when you smoked it. On the other hand you might get something that smoked like a rose and smelled like marijuana. Just as well that they won't cross I suppose.

These are not closely related enough to interbreed.
