The heat reduced it because. the pimple is a bacteria, They fastest way to kill bacteria is to heat it. It's stronger than using an acne medication. If you do that enough it'll go away faster as well. But it's gotta be really hot for it to work. Don't put lotion on it because drying it out is what kills it. If u put moisture in it. it'll get worse. Don't pick or pop it either. It'll leave scaring and will make it worse in the future. Hope this helped

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

Unless it was a scalding hot cloth capable of sterilising your face, it probably didn't do anything apart from soothing your irritated skin. Using an oil-based lotion will increase the chances of bacteria re-infesting the skin, so use moisturiser but frequently wash the area with soap. Do not under any circumstances pop it - a pimple on your nose, if traumatically opened, can have the debris enter your superficial nasal veins, which drain directly into your brain. That is, there is a small risk of bacterial meningitis if it's popped deliberately. If it's dry now, though, it's likely to heal soon.

Applying a warm rag to a pimple is always a good move. The heat helps to reduce the pimple's size because it allows the pore to open up more easily which in turn allows the puss to escape without having to apply alot of pressure to the area. In my opinion, I would not apply lotion to the area since lotion is oily and tends to clog pores. What I would suggest is finding a moisterizer designed specially for your face that won't clog pores like Clean and Clear or Olay. Good Luck!

A pimple is basically a skin infection. But don't be freaked out by that term. As gross as it sounds, you should probably pop it, then apply an ointment (try Neosporin, found at your local drugstore) on it. It might have some side effects, depending on your skin type, but it should go away after a while.
If you aren't willing to try that, do the old zit-trick: apply toothpaste on your zit after washing your face/before bed. In the morning, it'll be smaller. Of course, it's not going to go away instantly. You'll have to wait a while (although I know waiting for a zit to go away will seem like forever) until it disappears completely.
Good luck and hope I helped!

Um...don't use a moisturiser on a pimple unless you'd like to keep a bit a longer. Check the ingredients of any acne product, and they contain things like salycilic acid to dry up the pimple. Try putting a bit of Clearisil or something on it. Just go to your nearest drugstore and pick up your favourite brand. Most brands make acne creams (the ones I know of are Clearisil, Clean and Clear and Neutrogena).

I hate those pimples that develop on the side of your nose .. Just put a ton of oil-free moisturizer on it.
