DermaSwim pre swimming lotion blocks chlorine which stops pool rash, chlorine itch, and chlorine rash. DermaSwim Pro was designed by competitive swimmers who love to swim, but don't enjoy the drying effect that chlorine has on the skin. Swimming pool rash, chlorine rash, chlorine itch and dry skin are all a thing of the past with the chlorine protection of DermaSwim Pro.

It probably is chlorine allergy, but could also be something that someone wore into the water on their skin which floated on top of the water. Also some people have sensitivity to the sun which isn't the same as a sunburn. Four hours in the sun is enough to cause sunburn though. I would suggest washing, rinsing very well, and drying her skin without rubbing a lot, then applying some cold to it if she can stand it. A cortisone cream and an antihistamine in cream or pill form can reduce itching fairly quickly. And I agree with her......it is very itchy. As far as a home remedy, they say a cool bath with plain oatmeal will stop itching. (?) You might try blending some in a blender and using it that way. A doctor prescribed colloidal oatmeal for itching a long time ago. It was powdery if I remember right. I had to pour it into my bath. It did help the intense itching. May be worth a try? I hope some answer helps her.

Lotion, any oils that help keep water out should help. Though I do not think you are alergic. The pool most likely just dries your skin out, Use lotion. Chlorine though is a chemical that burns skin though ONLY in a pure form (solid bar).
