You know, those songs that are so great you close your eyes and get goose bumps. Like, Pink Floyd's "Time?" Do you experience this ever?
I'm looking to have a religious experience all day Saturday...I need a play list that contains songs that have any reference to drinking....any good suggestions?

Ah, some of you are no fun!
Thanks for the 40 oz to freedom Gamezilla...how could I forget Sublime? Definitely added to my playlist.
Okay, since some of you don't know ANY drinking songs.....here's a few
I Drink Alone--George Thorogood
One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer--George again
Have a Drink on Me--ACDC
Roadhouse Blues--Doors (at least it has a reference)
I know there's more out there....

Yes, yes, yes...and not only religious songs...in fact more likely a rock and roll or country gospel song. Will the Circle Be UnBroken...has me in tears no matter WHO sings it. Bridge over Troubled Water, Sounds of Silence, Turn, Turn, Turn...I could go on and on. JP

Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. but I was on really good LSD in the 60s. I gave it up.
Drinking songs; One bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer by George Thououghgood. Do this forty times and go pray to the porcelain god Ralph and Earl. Should get religious eventually when alcohol poisoning sets in and respiration fails.

I agree that it's not a religious experience. I call it good vibrations. Another of Floyd's song " Comfortably Numb " outta be on your list. Throughgood's song " I drink a lone " and 99 bottles of beer on the wall. Sounds like your on a St.Paddy's bindge, which is cool... Just LEAVE THE CAR AT HOME ... friends don't let friends drive drunk...

I heard the song by Phil Collins today - another day in paradise, and it really is so true and such a good song. It is really one of my favorites. Also the song by Michael Jackson - its called change i think? "i'm looking at the man in the mirror, I'm asking him to change his ways" another good song about how we should try to change for the better daily. God Bless

I would say you are looking for an emotional experience, not a religious one.
