So hey, I'm looking for a bar right on the water somewhere in Chicago. Nothing like the fancy restaurants around Clark & the Chicago River - just a good outdoor drinking spot on the lakefront or a river (or if not outdoors then with large open windows). I like the outdoor bars at Navy Pier but they are a little too crowded and commercialized.

Take a cruise rather than sitting inside on the shore. The web site has most of the lines listed. We've done the dinner cruise a few times and always had a blast!

Fulton's on LaSalle is right on the river and has an outdoor patio
