the fact that another person owned-doesnt make it any more justifiable. Its wrong to have slaves no matter what time in history or who you are.

Because they can justify their own actions, in areas such as Darfur, where 'the devil on horse back' Islamic soldiers paid by the Sudanese government, slaughter the black and Christian citizens.

The concept of slave is not the same in Islam as was in the West. Slaves were given complete rights in Islam, it is recommended that they be freed and be treated justly. Now we all know this was far from how slaves were treated in the West.

Muhammad (SAW) also stated that the Muslim community was to follow the Caliph even if he was a black slave. Slavery in Islam and what was practiced in the US are two different things.
