This is a true story that happened to me...I was in Nigeria, with Covenant Players (a Christian Drama Company.) Our visas were about to expire and we had to head to Abuja to get them extended....We left late on Friday because I'd been a bit sick the night before.....We arrived in Abuja after the office closed where we needed to get the visa's extended....It was Easter weekend so we had to wait until Tuesday. We spent Monday, fasting and trusting that God was going to do something....On Tuesday when we went into the office the man who extended the visas was a Christian but told us that he'd been in a minor accident on Friday and hadn't been in the office...His co-worker HATES Christians and would not have extended our visas and would have sent us immediately out of the country. We trusted God and had faith He would provide and He did. He has never let me down. Praise His name.

We have been dealing with some complicated family-related issues over the past few months. Then last week I found out I have a potentially serous medical condition. All I could think was, not now on top of everything else. I absolutely have to be strong for my family.
Then last Sunday after the service I went up and prayed at the altar, once again asking God to give me strength.
As I was walking back down the isle God told me "Trust, not strength". Just those three words but they were accompanied by a flood of understanding. I simply needed to trust God to be my strength, instead of asking for strength to carry the burdens alone. This understanding has given me so much peace that as I prepare for more tests tomorrow, I am completely at ease.
I do trust God.

I look at a bible and say to myself, wow! How can so many intelligent, well educated, practical people believe in such horse crud, Well I guess Hitler did too and so did those Germans back in the day, must be one in the same.
