I'm trying to find an intresting surface piercing that can stay. I really like corset piercings, but I know it's almost imposible to keep them. Any ideas?

I never said I planned on getting corset piercings. I know they migrate and have almost no success rate. I've been pierced 23 times before, I have some experience. I was looking for ideas but no one has really offered any.

There are a couple different suggestions I can give you.
Since you did not give a list of the piercings you currently have I will do my best to give you a wide range.

Wrist piercings:

Pro: They are still mostly new on the piercing circuit.
Con: Healing time is long and and you run the risk of hitting them alot.

Upper chest:

Pro: Healing time is average.
Con: moderately high risk of rejection

Nape:

That specific picture refers to a nape snake piercing.
Pro: Unique, good healing time
Con: Risk of nerve damage if not done by a quality piercer.

I hope this gives you some more ideas!

try doing a common piercing in a unique way on your navel do one on each side rather than top or bottom. on your eyebrow center or 2 on one side. try a anti eyebrow looks great on most people I've gave it to. you could do a snake bite but the 1st answer was right on with the corset piercing there more short term. that is one of the few surface piercings i refuse to give in my shop because it almost always will reject or get infected because you must have another person to care for it. honestly you don't seem ready for a piercing surf the net and look at different types i have my snake bites horizontal eye brow on one side and double vertical on the other also i have the anti eyebrow which is my favorite Lil harder to care for. and since you leaning toward surface there is a 40% chance of migration/rejection unless using a surface bar which would cut it down to about 20% however if your like me and have thinner shin a surface bar will stick out and look horrible. if i was you i would wait a month or so really think about it if this is your 1st if not give a day or two and go for it.

PS: don't do the corset piercings unless you plan on sleeping on your stomach that's the only way and even then Then chance of it staying in is slim to none

Common places are chest (cleavage and over the clavicles) and nape. You can get them pretty well anywhere you want, with varying degrees of success. A good indicator is to pick the spot you want, draw two dots with a marker, about an inch apart where you want the piercing to go. Stand infront of the mirror, and move. Do movements that you would in everyday life. If the dots don't stay lined up as you move, the piercing will most likely reject.

Check out microdermals, better success rates than surface piercings, less of a pain to remove than transdetrmals (but more difficult than a regular piercing) they can be found at www.bmezine.com

Corset piercings for the most part are play piercings, meant to be worn for a short amount of time (possibly a fashion show or a photo shoot) and then be taken out. They would have a VERY high rejection possibility because of the location of the jewelry, and the movement of the area and clothing that rubs around the area of a corset project.

there are many piercers that have alot of surface piercing experinence, bt if you go in to get one, mae sure that they can show you photos of surface piercings they have done that have HEALED, and also that they use the correct surface staple (not a crudely bent barbell....YUCK!!)

Good luck

all surface piercings have a risk of rejection. yes i also liek the corset piercing as well =] ive always toguth abotu gettign my nape pierced. but rejection rates are differnt for different people.. when you go to pick out an artist make sure you see photos of HEALED and succesful surface piercings! and you may have a better chace of keeping yours! but all surface piercings must come out at one time or another sadly to say =[ look at www.bmezine.com and look at surface piercings in ther encyclopedia! =]

good luck!
