We are in the process of buying a used mini van. We have 4 sons, 3 who are still in carseats. We need to have easy access to the far rear seats as well as the middle seats. I like the 1999+ body style of the Honda Odyssey. It is much bigger than the 1998-. I have a few friends with an Odyssey, and they love it. What are the pro's and con's of both vehicles? From what I have noticed, we can purchase a Kia Sedona 2000-2004 for the same price as an older Odyssey. Is that b/c they arent as good? I really need help with making the safest decision for my family. Any suggestions? We have very large Britax carseats- anyone else use these carseats in either minivan? Do they fit well? Do your children have ample leg room etc?

Ive been in both, and I have to say the Odyssey was much more spacious and luxurious than the Sedona. I would prefer a newer Odyssey, since the 2005 style change boosted the Odyssey even further ahead of its competitors. I cant see why any kind of moron/idiot would buy a Toyota Sienna, when the better Odyssey costs less, but that has nothing to do with a Kia Sedona. See if you can get a 2005 Odyssey for cheap off of www.cars.com www.autotrader.com or eBay
The cheapest 2005 Odyssey was about $18000 on Cars.com and 17000 on Ebay Motors

Odyssey, its a quality vehicle with great resale value, Kia has a ways to go before their reputation catches up with Honda.

Honda, no question at all :) Kia is still too young of a manufacturer to my liking.
