First of all, there is no such thing as an UNTRAINABLE dog. There is however, stupid people as owners. That is not the dogs' fault. All dogs do as the people want but if the people are morons and leave the dogs be, they will do whatever they can to distract themselves. ie. high energy dog left in the yard all day with nothign to do will inevitably destroy said yard. Same thing with a lonely dog at home.

A tired, well excersiced dog will be a calm one. One with too much energy and bored will by hyper and destructive.

Historically all dogs are vicious because they are "wild" - forget this notion of domesticated. Not possible. What they are is convenience takers. You feed, they comply. You are pack leader, they comply. You are low on the totem pole of dog hood and guess what? they're vicious.

It is not just pitbulls or rotts, true they were bred for protection but honestly, I have seen some pretty vicious chihuahuas and just about every other breed in the book (and then some.) Unproperly trained dogs are often vicious.

Hopefully this information helped.

Sherpei, hands down the worst if the owner isn't in the room. I did a few years as a vet tech and it is the only breed as a whole that I wouldn't trust because of experience. I'd say a good half a dozen different dogs turned into Cujo if the owner wasn't in the room. They come into the clinic happy tail wagging, put them in a kennel and 2 hours later when they were up for surgery they would try to eat anyone that approached them.

I never, never had a problem with a pitbull, and we would have 100 times the amount of pitbulls come through compared to sharpei's. I've never even met a bad tempered pitbull, all of the ones I've ever seen were very friendly to humans. Now, that isn't to say they'd be just as nice to other dogs, that depended on how well they were socialized as a puppy.

I have 2 small children and I wouldn't hesitate to let them pet someones pitbull on the street. However, I wouldn't let them near a sharpei, no matter how much the owner said it was fine. Had everyone of the owners of the dogs that were intent on killing me say their dog was fine......

This question is absolutely ridicuous. If you dont want historical or statistical facts, then how can u ask for proof that it is not pit bulls? There is NO SUCH THING AS A VICIOUS BREED OF DOG!!! Sorry, but nope. There are moron owners who cannot be bothered to spend the time to socialize/train their dogs. Then REGARDLESS of breed the dog becomes a nuisance and in worst cases even a threat.

Ignorant people who believe the myths about pit bulls can be thanked for contributing to the rise of BSL. Think long and hard before punishing an entire breed instead of the deed as next time it could very well be your dog.

You know some people are jst completly stupid !!! dont judge a breed , judge the owner. i see alot of dum people comment on breeds that they no really nothing about ,,, like the SHAR-PEI ,,, well i own and breed the shar-pei and most of my close friends own them as well and not one of my or there dogs or my pups (grown) have ever ever been mean or aggressive towards anyone including other dogs., my dogs go for walks ,out to the park, the vets, the pet stores and one comes to work with me (when im working at my store) and they have never shown or been aggressive, its all about how a dog is raised from birth and how well it has been socialized. not only are my dogs ect kind and gentle (with kids, adults other animals) but they were one of the easiest breeds too train (my opinion) if you have to blame ! blame that perticual dog and the owner but not the actually breed... i could sit here and blame so many breeds for being mean (labs for one which i was bitten by as a child , or all the times we had frightened and hurt dogs come into the shelter that would bite) but why its not a peticular breed of dog its that dog and what made it that way.which is usually the owner and poor treatment. You shouldnt even blame the dog!!! dogs only know what they have been taught. (shannon you DONT know anything)

I very own a German Shepherd canines and a Shar-Pei/Pit blend. i will basically think of what sort of stereotyping i might get from the common person. i'm a married vet tech, have 2 youngsters and 2 cats besides. might people nonetheless think of a similar then? My canines are spectacular frequently and massive with my kinfolk. i in my view don't have a topic possessing a shielding breed, canines that are certainly aloof to strangers and bark warnings are completely nice with me. i do no longer condone viciousness and picture the people who breed for it and prepare for it will be horse whipped! they're why there's a topic interior the 1st place. I completely accept as true with you in this one. i've got faith it rather is the owner, no longer the animal it rather is at fault and God bless each and every of the canines who've and could die using fact their proprietors have been idiots. In a scientific putting, it rather is the terrier breeds (aka anklebiters) that are the nasitiest. I actual have been bitten thrice in my profession as a tech and all have been from terriers. i come across it thrilling whilst an proprietor says "He bites, yet he's only so little, he won't have the ability to truly injury you" BS!! i think of that's what lots of those proprietors have faith and that they think of they're going to wreck the canines in the event that they discipline them. i admire all large and massive breed canines and can take them palms down over the different. It takes a particular person to possess a large, useful, clever breed and that i think of all of us can see the end result whilst they're interior the incorrect palms........

According to Ceaser Millan for the most part no dog is untrainable. For those of you that do not know who Ceaser is, he has a show on Natonal Geograghic channel and he is the best dog trainer. Every show he "trains" the owners b/c people screw up dogs. He so good at his job he can roller blade with a pack of society's most vicious dogs.

here is a list compiled by the vet techs where I work...There are 18 of us and some of us have been in the field for 20 years.

Dachshund
chihuahua
cocker spaniels
akitas
terriers-small ones especially. Mostly jack Russell's.
malamutes
aussies...quite a bit, but not all (they tend to be quite nervous)
chows
shar peis
Not necessarily in this order.

The reason you don't see these cute little innocent doggies on the "most likely to bite" list is because they usually don't tend to take our fingers off or cause series damage like the bigger guys can.

But in all fairness to the above breeds, I see them at a vet hospital. I see them when they are sick, injured and stressed. But nevertheless, the trend continues...

I always like to mention on this subject that in all my years at a vet clinic, I have never, repeat...never have seen a pit bull try to bite a staff member. Not once!

Chiahuhua, Cocker Spaniel and any dog that is taught Aggression.

German Shepherds are be taught aggression very easily by a "stupid" owner. This is why they are very good at Shutzhund work.

don't teach your dog aggression to other dogs and people and the dog will NOT be aggressive.

German Shepard. Police and military use them. Stamina, strong and fierce.
I had one in my back yard with a10 foot wooden fence. That dog broke through the door leading into the garage, and jumped though a very high garage window to get to some one that was knocking me about in my front yard.
I miss that dog everyday.
