Polyglots?

Question

Have you ever been talking to someone and you want to say something and you're thinking it in a certain language, say English but when you open your mouth to say it, it comes out in a different language?

Yes, that has happened to me. I remember waking up and asking my (now ex-)girlfriend what time it was in French (she is German). She told me she didn't understand (in German) and I again asked her in French. About three times until I realized I spoke to her in French.
A few months ago I went from Geneva to Zürich and I mixed up French and German again.
And just a few hours ago I received an email in french and i quickly replied in English.
This happen to me especially often when I am shifting the languages rapidly.

I don't think I'm a polyglot, but yes.

I also do this when writing assignments with word order (even in English) with saying the blue color of the sky, or the city of France (Paris)...instead of the blue sky or the French city.

Or I can't sleep until I find the word in the other language or if it's possible to say "..." in whatever. I also love to compare words or sounds in different languages.

yes, it has happened to me often in the past, less random now! take it as a joke and have fun of it and never b its effect, ever! if you do it, you will wind up by having a better control of yourself! i do speak greek, french, italian and english; at the beginning...what a mess up!
