I used to speak spanish fluently, but have lost a lot because i have no one to practice with. learning a new language, a lot of memorization is involved. it would be really easy for you to learn if you started out by buying audio tapes, that is how i started. also, if you're able, immerse yourself in an environment where a lot of spanish speaking people work....i.e. work, school etc. (this is also something i did) thirdly, take a beginners class. this will help you out a lot. and last, make aquaintance w/ someone who is doing the same as you (learning spanish) and keep in touch w/ them, as they will help you continue keeping up your language skills. If you like, you can email me, w/ a list of specific words, phrases, and i may be able to translate them for you.
Good luck on your journey for knowledge!!

Get a part-time job where a lot of Spanish-speaking people work. Exposing yourself to native speakers and actual application of the language is the best way to learn.
