Forget the other silly answers. I actually researched this when I was pregnant. Eating ice cubes can be a sign that your body is lacking in iron or some other nutrient. This may sound silly but I searched several websites for this answer. I dont remember my sources but you can find it if you google it.

Could possibly be an iron deficiency.
I also eat ice...all the time. I usually sit with a pillow on my lap and a tray of ice on top of it. This is a daily thing for me.
I drive people insane because I'm constantly crunching

I really think it means that you like water a lot of it but in a hard form, just like me. Because I always eat ice, since I was like 11. And I still do it, it hurts a little bit sometimes, but it really doesn't do anything to your teeth. Mine are just fine, it shows nothing wrong. So really it's ok.

Some people eat ice cubes, some don't. It doesn't mean anything. Try not to eat ice cubes too often, if you chew them, cuz they can gradually damage your teeth.

Could be a couple of reasons.... You like it. Its soothing for the throat........ BUT it could also mean your body is low in iron. My sister, as a teen, was always always in the freezer eating ice and the frost from the freezer.... Came to be she was anemic. (not saying that you are)
I wouldn't really worry about anything, chances are you just like ice.

Crunching ice cubes is supposed to be bad for the protective layer of your teeth. I would suggest trying not to do that anymore.
