We are no more or less hypocritical than anyone else. Is the IRA still fighting the British Army? Are the UDA, UDF, or Royal Army any less violent? At least as Catholics we know where to go to seek guidance and forgiveness. I do not think it makes me a hypocrite to admit that I make many mistakes that need to be rectified. How many weeks are you sinless? Peace be with you

I'm guessing you are a casual observer. The IRA in Ireland are Marxists, that is incompatible with Catholicism. Even so, if you understand Confession, part of the effort is to be contrite and seek, with God's grace, not to sin again in that way. If the penitent has no intention of turning from their sin, then it is a "bad confession", and they really aren't forgiven. You just can't manipulate God, as I'm sure you are aware of.

The issue in Northern Ireland is political not religious. The media, who is always looking for short cuts and not the whole story, calls the participants Catholics and Protestants.

The conflict is about whether the British territory (probably the wrong word) of Northern Ireland should remain British or should become part of Ireland.

The majority of people in Ireland are Catholics. The majority of people in England and Northern Ireland are Protestants. There are actually Catholics and Protestants on either side.

The terrorists on either side of the issue are not Christian in any sense of the word.

With love in Christ.

no the object to christianity is to sin as little as u can. be a good person and live ur life to its fullest. if u mess up and sin go to confession and God forgives u because we all mess up sometimes, but he is good enough to forgive us for our sins.

Well, No unclean person can enter God's kingdom.

Do you think the Pope and his goons can clean you with your sins?

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1Tim 2:5 (No mention of Pope and his goons.)

Did Peter crucified for you? The answer is No. The Son of God did.

Did Mary crucified for you? The answer is No. The Son of God did.

Did the Catholic Church crucified for you? The answer is No. The Son of God did.

Jesus said, “Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)

Apostle John to "test the spirits to see whether they are from God" (1 Jn. 4:1).

Do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. You should have a healthy skepticism.

Wrong. Confession must be true and heart-felt, as well as repentance, or else it means nothing. Don't assume.
