Does anyone know what the "G.U.E.S.S." approach stands for in Fundamentals of Technology or Engineering?

My teacher mentioned that an approach in engineering was the "G.U.E.S.S" approach -- it's and acronym but I don't know what each letter stands for. If an engineer or anyone who knows this could tell me I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
