...but they don't ask me out. I don't think I'd qualify as a guy's girl, but guys are always making conversation with me and I have a large circle of male friends and aquaintances (and few female friends, I don't generally get along with other girls). What gives?

Maybe they are intimidated by you, and fear rejection. Possibly being your friend opens up the possibility that you'll make an advancement on the man, instead of him doing so.

This is so funny because the same thing happens to me. Always the friend, but never the girlfriend. I think it just might be that other people will think you're probably so attractive that they think they're not good enough for you. I get that ALL the time, and it annoys the hell out of me!

It means they think your really cute but personality wise you are just one of the guys... main problem you gotinto the friend zone not the other zone
