Self-defense and fighting are very different things.
A fight is a willing physical clash of two or more egos. A self-defense situation is when a victim is attacked against there will.

How do you do it, you ask. Well, you should not fight, if given a chance you should escape the situation. Violence begets violence. The only true winner is the one that chooses the non-violent path.

Kickboxing and boxing are not fighting, they are sport competitions. This is easy. You get the proper gear, space, a willing opponent and a referee. Get all this stuff together and have at it. There are techniques and methods. You will need much training and conditioning to get good.
