Is there a minimum and/or maximum # of hours a student under the age of 18 can goto school in california?

I'm 17, and i just got put into this program, that mandatory afterschool, making the total number of hours im at school a day to be 9, 7am to 4pm.

If you were put in there mandatory, then there is not really anything you can do about it. I assume that is why you are asking, if it some sort of punishment then it is warranted and you cannot get out of it.
