I would have to say the Bible but not in the way you would think. The Bible itself drove me from Christianity and started me on a search for what others thought. Then nearly every book I have read has changed the way I think about an aspect of life and in a broader sense, religion in general. Asimov really made me think!

Godel, Escher, Bach: an eternal golden braid by Douglas R. Hofstadter. Most beautiful book I have ever read. I have no religion, not even atheism. I guess I'm just a believer in science and technology. I know there is something out there that will answer all our questions about this place, and I think our ultimate goal is to find it. That is my religion if you will.

anything by john wesley.. i think that he was a co-founder of the salvation army or something... but he really writes for the believers not the unbelievers.. you kinda have to know what he is talking about to understand.. so i guess I'm not much help... sorry

catechism of the catholic church. i have other books,prayer books and subscribe to some magazines. i do most of my other reading on line from various catholic sources,they have been very beneficial for me. i plan on getting more books but when i get some extra cash.
