For the electrodes, platinum is best. The metal is extremely strong and holds up very well in the harsh environment of the combustion chamber.

For the top connection, something that doesn't corrode is best. Resistance is not important. If it's metal, then the resistance is low enough because the resistance of the air gap is so much more.

Use dielectric grease around the inside of the spark plug wire boot to prevent moisture from getting to the terminal.
