If we come from a common ancestor, why aren't there any common ancestors left?
Oh wait, eh, that actually made sense. Sorry.
Cheers!

This question made me laugh! I see what you are getting at, but I do not think you can compare a handful or so of dust to the existence of apes and humans in the age old defense against our coming from apes.
Exactly how big did you think Adam was?

Dust was symbollic of blood. From the Hebrew word 'Adamah' meaning of the ground. The dust used was the man who came thru the evolution- of the ground. Also blood when dried turns to dust.

Adam didn't evolve from dust, he was created from the dust by God. And then when he died, his body returned to the dust as will yours and mine.
Life is fleeting, make peace with God while you are still alive.

If Adam was made from dust, I'll eat HIS hat.
Isn't it funny that god-believers have difficulty believing that our universe is infinite and that we are products of evolution when they seem to have no difficulty thinking that Adam came out of the dirt and Eve was made from one of his ribs...?
LOL Some people's kids are really dumb, aren't they.?!
